Kushal Bhurtel (born January 22, 1997, in Butwal, Rupendhehi, Nepal) is an talented top-order opening batsman and right-arm leg-break bowler representing the Nepal National Cricket Team. Renowned for his aggressive batting signature style and clean boundary striking capabilities at the top of the order, Bhurtel has established himself as a core pillar of modern Nepali cricket across all short-form formats.
Bhurtel shot to global cricketing fame during his international debut on April 17, 2021, against Netherlands at Kirtipur. He created an extraordinary world record by becoming the first player in T20 International cricket history to hit four consecutive half-centuries in his first four innings.
His rapid scoring rate also made him the fastest Nepalese batsman to cross the milestone of 500 T20I runs, achieving the feat in just 11 innings.
